Volunteer with Us!We are always looking for volunteers to help us run the alumnae group. Please complete the Volunteer Interest Indicator and let us know what area interests you! Each board position below accepts committee members to help with their duties.
The board serves for two year terms. We are currently in the 2019-2021 term. To serve as an officer or committee chairman, an alumna must be a dues-paying member of the alumnae chapter and a member in good standing of the Fraternity.
Here is a description of the board positions:
The president is the chief executive officer of the group. It is her responsibility to see that chapter plans and programs are carried out in accordance with established policies.
Vice President/Membership Chairman
The vice president/membership chairman is the assistant to the president and is in charge of recruitment and membership.
The treasurer is the guardian of the budget and the custodian of the chapter funds. The treasurer shall be responible for collecting chapter dues and contributions to the Friendship and other funds.
The secretary shall keep an active record of all the business transacted by the chapter in executive board and chapter meetings. The secretary shall take minutes at executive board and regular chapter meetings and will maintain chapter bylaws.
Member Communications Coordinator
The membership communications coordinator handles chapter correspondence including managing our email. The membership communications coordinator shall read and answer chapter correspondence and manage the directory/yearbook.
The event coordinator shall plan and coordinate the chapter’s social activities and will be responsible for managing the Evite system to invite our membership to the events.
Founders Day Coordinator
The Founders Day coordinator is responsible for planning the annual Founders Day event.
The alumnae Panhellenic representative shall attend alumnae Panhellenic meetings on behalf of the alumnae chapter and inform the alumnae chapter of alumnae Panhellenic news and functions.
Young Alumnae Liaison
Young alumnae are generally considered to be between the ages of 22 and 35. The young alumnae liaison shall recruit young alumnae and create special informal social events and/or service and fundraising events for them to attend and communicate with young alumnae by posting to the existing chapter Facebook page and updating it regularly.
The website coordinator shall maintain the chapter website.
The archivist shall collect photos taken at all events and preserve all properties of historical interest (charter, directories/yearbooks, awards, Founders Day paraphernalia, songbook, Ritual Book).
